Meal Plans

Capital Court Dining Hall

You are welcome to eat as much as you care to while in the dining hall. For your convenience, we do offer To-Go boxes for those who join us that are unable to dine in. Once the student has filled the supplied container, they must leave the dining room. If you eat in the dining room, you are not permitted to take a To-Go box. We reserve the right to revoke this convenience if abused. For your enjoyment, you are allowed to take one piece of fruit. Also, please do not bring large containers in to fill with beverages to go.

How does a Meal Plan work?

Meal plans are geared specifically to give you better dining value for your dollars when you use a meal card instead of paying cash to eat. Your meal plan is accessed through your student ID Card. Meal plans come with all-you-care-to eat meals at Capital Court Dining Hall. For retail flexibility, some meal plans come with a set amount of Capital Bucks that can be used to purchase additional meals or snacks at Capital retail venues.

How do I sign up for a Residential Meal Plan?

Students can sign up and choose a meal plan by filling out the Meal Plan Request Form on the CampusDish site. The Meal Plan Request form is activated during Summer Vacation for fall semester selection and Winter Break for Spring meal plan selection. This enables students to have their meal plan chosen before returning to campus. It’s as simple as filling out the online form and submitting it!

Reminder: Meal plan selections are not automatically changed...it may take up to 24 hrs. to be changed. Meal plan selections/changes can be done during the first week of each semester. Deadline to change your meal plan will be posted. No changes can be made after this date. If you would like to be on a different plan you will need to select another plan.

Can I change my meal plan?

You have the opportunity to downgrade your meal plan during the first week of the fall and spring semesters. You are only able to switch to a lower plan once the semester begins. If you would like to switch to a higher plan, you will have to wait until the next semester begins.

How can I eat if I do not have my ID card?

All students on a meal plan must have their ID card to come into the dining hall. If you forgot it in your room or car, you must go and get it. If it is lost, you must have it replaced by the TO BE DETERMINED.

Please Note: If you have purchased a new student id please notify Capital Dining Services to ensure the meal plan number is attached to the card in our system.

If I do not use all my meals in one week, do they carry over to the following week?

Meals DO NOT carry over from one semester to the next. It is important that you select the right plan to fit your schedule and your eating habits to ensure that you get the full value for your dollars.

Can I treat a friend by using two “meals” in a meal period?

No. Meal plans are intended for individual use only. The meal plan holder is the only person who will have access to the meal plan. You may only use one meal per meal period. If you would like to treat a friend, you may pay for their meal using your Capital Bucks, Cash or Credit Card.

What do I do if my Capital Bucks runs low?

Each time you purchase a snack or meal, you may ask the cashier to tell you how many meals and/Cruader Cash you have remaining. Add Cruader Cash to your account using cash, charging to your student account or credit card. Click on the *Order Now* Tab to purchase Cruader Cash online!

What is Capital Bucks?

Capital Bucks are monies included in your meal plan that can be used at all dining venues on Capital's campus. Your student ID card acts as a debit card, or declining balance account. It can be used at any on campus residential restaurant. You can also add Capital Bucks to your card at any time by going online at www.capital.campusdish.com. Capital Bucks will transfer from Fall Semester to Spring Semester but will be forfeited at the end of the academic year.

Can I use my meal plan during breaks?

No. Your meal plan is deactivated during Thanksgiving, winter, and Spring breaks. The meal plan is based on meal allowances when classes are in session.
NOTICE: Except during Easter Break – Capital Court Dining Hall will be open limited hours.

I have special dietary needs. What do I do

If you need assistance or someone to speak with, please contact a manager in Capital Court Dining Hall to schedule an appointment for someone to meet with you.
